Cakewalk was co-authored by Leandra Urrutia and Elizabeth Brown. It was performed in Memphis, Tennessee as part of PARKing Day, an event that invites artists to transform public spaces into exhibition places. In Cakewalk, a miniature roller derby rink was created and outfitted for female participation. Cakewalk challenges ideas of domesticity by injecting athleticism, endurance, and transformation into mundane feminine routine.
